Nothing more than speculation based on unfounded theory. You are correct,
Mike, suggesting that neither Cushing or Arnold were overrun. As a matter of fact
Brown's guns were not all entirely overrun either. One must remember that gun
NO. 2 (I believe) was upset at the wall, uprighted, then pulled back without
being touched (one of three that made it out safely). The disorganized left of
Wright's Brigade did not make it to the wall[s] at or north of the Copse of
Trees let alone cross them. Brown's overrun gun line (half battery) was perhaps
the furthest penetration of that brigade that far north with Weir's gun line
the furthest penetration that far south. Both battery's last stands were well
west of below the crest of Cemetery Ridge.
