GDG- Peace on Earth, good will toward men

Merry Christmas to all the members of this
wonderful forum.

Although the Gettysburg Campaign was fought in
the heat and rain of June-July 1863, we all know
many of those same soldiers spent frigid
Decembers during the war - including the bloody
one of 1862.

It is with humbleness that I think of the
sacrifice, the courage and the devotion to
country, family, comrades and God that the men
(and women) in blue, gray and butternut fought -
and in some cases died.

As we sit comfortably with our friends and
families during this holiday season, let us
remember the sacrifices of those men and women of
1861-1865 who fought for their country and their
cause.

Merry Christmas!
