Info on 2006 GDG Winter Stomp
*GDG Winter Stomp*
*Subject:* *Wright's Brigade in its action of July 2.*
*Date*: *Thursday, December 28.*
*Time*: *Meet at 9:30 am.*
*Location:* *Start at Virginia Memorial, end near the Copse.*
*Details:* *We will spend a couple of hours crossing to the Emmitsburg Road,
considering accounts and examining the ground. There will then be a break
for lunch (various restaurants within walking distance on Steinwehr Avenue).
We will resume after lunch with a consideration of the attack on Cemetery
Ridge. Participants may desire to carpool so as to leave a return vehicle on
Hancock Avenue, though a walk back across the field is an option. Weather in
late December is always an issue. Consider layering your clothing and keep
the chill factor in mind (wind can be an issue). There is no cost nor
registration. The entire program is expected to be about five hours.

Esteemed GDG Member Contributes:
Seasons Greetings from a mostly lurker/sometimes contributor who would like
some more info about the Winter Stomp.
I have never participated on a Stomp before, but would like to make this
one. How do I sign up, where do I meet the group, is there a cost? I
certainly
will appreciate the opportunity to join in.
