evidence. I think they have done a pretty good job of making a case that

Confederate government had a role to play in the Lincoln situation. It is

not clear exactly what that role was. >>
I think a lot of the problem is that you have here a cast of characters,
most or all of whom were involved to some degree with the Confederacy or its
Secret Service operations, either directly or at least, tangentially. But
this connection to some activities directed or sanctioned by the Confederacy
doesn't necessarily mean that the Confederate government gave any higher
level approval to an actual assasination plot.
