Besides these two fine recommendations, I very much enjoyed Eric's book:
Protecting the Flanks: The Battles for Brinkerhoff's Ridge and East
Cavalry Field, Battle of Gettysburg, July 2-3, 1863
like the two Tom mentions, this one also has a tour guide. [And, in some
ways, it connects quite well with the ending of Plenty of Blame to Go
Around.]
