GDG- Help! Need some advice..

<< Just Kidding Jim. It's really not that big a shelf. Anyway, Are there any 
authors of repute that one might say take the opposing viewpoint to 
"Longstreet as Satans Apprentice?" I think I'd like to check into that a 
little deeper.

I've never really gotten into the various Longstreet biographies, so berhaps 
one of our resident Longstreet scholars can't comment better on that.  I do, 
however, think it fair to say that I think most of the more recent studies 
of the battle have, while not ignoring some of his questionable actions 
during the batle, at least gotten past casting him as the villain of the 
piece.
