>According to Sauers' "Advance the Colors", the state flag of the 150th PA
was presented to Davis at the request of Lt. F. M. Harney of the 14th NC,
wha was killed after taking it from the lifeless body of its bearer, Cpl.
Joseph S. Gutelis.  It was found in Davis' baggage after his capture near
Milledgeville, GA in May 1865.
