GDG- OT: Great news for me!

Folks,
  
  In one of the great surprises of my lifetime, I took to one knee on  Tuesday, the 1st of August and asked Melissa Henderson to marry me.  Despite my poor singing (Bruce Channel's only hit - "Hey Baby"), she  agreed. Well, she actually said "Yes" three times - once during the  song, once when I asked her if she'd make me the happiest man in the  world and then, when I finally said "Will you marry me?"
  
  We will be married on October 6th, 2007 about 6 or 8 steps from where I  knelt to propose, at the Mansion at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD.

  P.S. The music for the reception will be from the big band era, since  we fancy ourselves swing dancers, and it will be a wine-pairing dinner  as our shared vice is spending too much money on wine. Rather than  period dress, it will be black-tie for all.
